Plan to succeed

The way to get better at anything is to practice, a lot. Here are a few tips to guide your practice.

 1) Don’t be afraid to ask your therapist where they draw their experience from. No two therapists are the same.

 2) Consider how much information is just right for you. This way your understanding and your confidence build over time. For example, we have take home messages for every point mentioned below.

 3) Let your feelings guide you. If it feels anything but great to be in motion, you deserve to understand why, and what you can do with those feelings. Click on a feeling and see what happens to the What if’s to learn more.

When I move I feel..

What if…

  • Big tasks became bite-sized chunks

  • Confidence came from your comfort zone

  • There was time to slow down and take an empowering deep breath when feeling challenged

  • Feelings were like visitors, allowed to feely come and go

  • You knew support was always right there

This is what our physiotherapy care is all about.

  • Just enough exercise was just right for success

  • Big tasks became bite sized chunks

  • Your goals were in balance with your time and energy

  • You knew how to handle things differently when there were bumps in the road

  • Success meant showing up most of the time

This is what our physiotherapy care is all about.

  • Health care information was written in your language

  • There was time to slow down and take an empowering deep breath when feeling challenged

  • The difference between hurt and harm was noticeable

  • Feelings were like visitors, allowed to freely come and go

This is what our physiotherapy care is all about.

  • Together we had a plan from point A to point B

  • The costs (such as time, money and worry) were compared considering starting something and doing nothing

  • Your present circumstances determined where you start, not where you go

  • You saw your successful self in this moment

  • You knew how to check in with yourself and make new plans when old ones were no longer working for you

This is what our physiotherapy care is all about.

  • Big tasks came in bite sized chunks

  • Confidence came from your comfort zone

  • We all related to each others’ struggle and could see there is a way forward, though it may not be easy

  • You saw your successful self in this moment

General Questions

Should I have an online visit or an in home visit?

Online visits are the first option and in many cases the only option we can provide during the COV-19 pandemic. We are only do in-person home visits if you are struggling to cope at home, generally speaking. We must first see if  online options are a reasonable way of providing the care you need. If you think you may need an urgent home visit, we will discuss this over the phone with you. Please be in touch with us right away.

Is there insurance coverage for my therapy?

Physiotherapy coverage may be offered by some private group insurance companies (such as Sunlife, GreatWest Life, certain Alberta Blue Cross plans and others). Contact your insurance provider and ask if you have coverage for physiotherapy.

Homebody Health is a private therapy service offered:

I am thinking about staying more active. Where do I begin?

About Our Services

step 1: care plan consultation

Care Plan Consultation- 70$

This phone consultation is the first session for all new clients. Our physiotherapist helps you frame your problem and gives you an understanding of how our therapists might address this problem you are having. We take a health history. We make a care package of notes and tips from this consultation and then build your electronic health record with us. You have access to these notes in your record to view and print anytime. If you wish this consultation to be a collaborative call with others who are involved in your care, we can arrange that as well.

Step 2: Physiotherapy Assessment
